BopGun Posted March 14, 2013 Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 I learned earlier this morning that I've won two Michigan Association of Broadcasters Excellence Awards for my TV reporting work. Competing against other reporters in the state's smallest media markets, I've won an award for Best Investigative or Enterprise Story for something I did last March on likely effects from a change in the state's motorcycle helmet law. A story I did last July...on, of all things, talking urinal cakes in bar men's rooms in an attempt to discourage drunk driving...won an award for Best News Feature Story. The awards were given out last night at the MAB's annual convention in Lansing. I couldn't go. This makes six MAB Excellence Awards in the last four years for me ('09 through '12 inclusive). Holla!
