Fishercat
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you too! I know for many Irish that Saint Patrick's Day is a religious holiday and not a celebration of Irish Heritage. So I hope besides going to church today that you drink at least one pint and perhaps listen to a little Irish music preferably with your friends and family! :-) "It is hard to dance with a devil on your back, so shake him off" Florence and the Machine Link to comment
Irish Oisin
You'd be surprised, it's mostly a pilgrimage to the pub/street these days. Go BIG, or go home. Link to comment
cracked_belle
I'm from southern Louisiana, and we have St. Patrick's Day parades and shit down here. the krewes will throw ingrediants for a meatless stew. it's awesome. I love it. I have so many new vegetables for cooking now. there is never a sudden revelation, a complete and tidy explanation for why it happened, or why it ends, or Why or Who you are. you want one and I want one, but there isn't one. it comes in bits and pieces, and you stitch them together wherever they fit, and when you are done you hold yourself up, and still there are holes and you are a rag doll, invented, imperfect. and yet you are all that you have, so you must be Enough. there is no other way. ― Marya Hornbacher, Wasted: A Memoir of Anorexia and Bulimia Link to comment
