I did the beginner body weight routine, only did 2 rounds, and I made sure to squat/lunge in proper form. but still I now have a pain in my right knee. above the kneecap. how do I fix this? my knees haven't been great for awhile. I know I have some cartilege damage because they make that crunching sound. probably due to being overweight since age 15 or so. and yet my job requires that I walk 10 hours a day, and my knees handle that just fine. help? Waldo Posted April 20, 2013 Report Share Posted April 20, 2013 Crunching is not necessarily a sign of cartilage damage. Could just mean there is some swelling. My knees make noise from time to time, its no big deal. Tendons in the knees tend to hurt from time to time, especially when you add load to them well above what they've been used to for years. Mine get sore here and there, at first it was brutal, but over time its become more of a temporary annoyance than anything, they might ache a bit during the first higher load set, but that's about it. currently cutting battle log challenges: 21,20, 19,18,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 don't panic!
