Bet-winning mermaid

Yesterday me and my boyfriend went swimming at a pool in Amsterdam. He used to do competition swimming when he was a kid while I'm an amateur at best and haven't done any swimming in 2 years. He didn't believe me that I could do 40 laps in the 25 meter pool, so we made a bet. At the end of the session I had 62 laps to his 50, mine done with no breaks and his done with breaks every 10 laps or so. Fortunately he's not a sore loser at all - called me "his little mermaid" and told me he was very proud of me kicking his butt.
