marionette Posted May 3, 2013 Report Share Posted May 3, 2013 Hey everyone! I'm running the 2013 Broad Street Run this Sunday. Its a flat 10 mile run through the city of Philadelphia. I'm fundraising for this and so far am rather short of my goal. Cancer is one of those insidious things that affects everyone at some point in their lives, directly or indirectly. I've lost teachers, friends and family to various flavors of cancer, and I have others who I haven't lost but have fought it off or to a standstill. I have one still fighting for all he is worth. The American Cancer Society uses 71% of all donations directly to support its outreach programs. 22% goes to more fundraising efforts and the remaining 3% covers their overhead.
