Anyone else picked up Defiance yet? If you haven't, but you're interested, let me warn you up front - GOOGLE EVERYTHING! There is no comprehensive tutorial to walk you thru, outside of telling you how to squeeze the trigger and access one or two things on your menu screen. But it is awesome to finally have a game that follows the storyline with your player development: just like your character, you have no idea what you're up against or how to handle it prior to - you just have to grab your gun and make it up as you go! That bit I like.

 

I play on Xbox with my boyfriend (although I think I'm going to need to level a bit on my own before I can play with him without getting snippy: he's a veteran FPS player, so my lack of skills has him constantly trying to offer me advice, which is extremely irritating).

 

Who all else is exploring Defiance?

Not the game, but I've enjoyed the first 3 episodes of the show. Like you said, there really isn't someone coming out to say, Oh, hey, here's everything you need to know about the Irathians. It's all in context and given that much more life.

^ What Hrothgar said. Haven't played the game (wouldn't really have the time for it either) but the TV show has been pretty cool so far. I also like that - while there are "main characters" - there isn't really a direct focus on them.

Yeah...the show is pretty good.  I haven't gotten the game yet.
