Petter
Well my name is Petter, 21 years old, from Sweden. Currently studying at the University. Weight: 98 kg (~216 lbs), not to date but that was what i weigh when i joined Nerdfitness. Height: 185.5 cm (~6.1 ft)Goals:Loose 15 kg the upcoming year and maintain my weight the year after.Increase in strenght; be able to atleast do 10 consecutive pull ups. Bench 100 kg.Eat healtier: cut down on soda, and candy.Manage to run 7.5 km, in around 35 minutesTravel somewhere hopefully the US or AsiaAnd the most important thing: Get back on the Badminton court! My StoryMy story is quite fascinating I have to say and sad at the same time. Anyways, 2008 I graduated from the gymnasium (highschool) and took a break from my studies to see the world, AWESOME!!. I was at that time thrown between being in the Swedish national team in Badminton and not being in it (had been for maybe 2½ years). Well since I was not officially in the team I felt like doing something between my studies, so I went for a four month trip to see Asia.I think you are aware that Asia is cheap (much cheaper than Sweden), in my case, it was the worst thing that could have ever happened. I started drinking beer like never before, visiting Swensen's (awesome ice cream bar, we don't have it in Sweden) and not excercising. I think I did this because of bad confidence since I had been fighting to make the national team for about 3 years, and still not being in it. So I put my mind to everything BUT staying healty and focused. This resulted in a weight gain of approximatley 8 kg, (damn that was fast!) Well getting home didn't change anything, 8 kg heavier made it really exhausting to excercise so it pretty much came to a stop. Wasn't very excited to go back to the Badminton court either. Instead I started working, traveling, playing video games things I never had much time with before, it was a good life (it atleast felt like that when I used to excercise so much). To date, 2½ years later, 20 kg heavier I have decided that: it's finally enough. I used to train with the Swedish national team for god's sake!!, sometimes for about 7 hours a day (!!) and now I can't barley run 2.5 km, I will not even mention Pullups (which is my worst fear) can't do a single one anymore. IT SUCKS!!Well that is my past, now comes my future and I'm feeling more alive and focused than ever before (maybe because of the workout yesterday, haha). Anyways I hoped you enjoyed my story and feel free to ask whatever you want, whether it's about my story (how stupid I've been) or Badminton, video games, food, anything. Just poke me and I'll gladly answer. Quote Link to comment

Pulse
Don't get discouraged by pull-ups - I could BARELY manage one a few months ago, and now I'm up to about 5 consecutive ones now. I used this for reference/inspiration: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/07/08/pull-ups-fitness-routine/ Quote Link to comment
