FalseAesop
I've taken to listening to electronic dance music to give me a solid beat to run to. Preferably around the 140 BPM range. Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Skrillix, Lindsey Stirling, The Prodigy. I also listen to a lot of video game inspired music, The Protomen, The Megas, Metriod Metal. Vintage
My workout soundtrack is almost all 60's-80's rock. There's just something about ACDC that makes me move faster, what can I say? Quote Link to comment

Logros
I like metal for working out, but pretty specific stuff. It's gotta be moderate tempo (~120-140 bpm), and the drummer has to be excellent. I have a 29 song playlist that covers most bases on my iphone. It consists of Pantera, Dethklok, Rammstein, Mastodon, Disturbed, and a little rage against the machine, I've been thinking about adding some Tool also. It's all about the beat, gets my blood pumping. Quote The Logros - Guardians of the First Throne itself. Link to comment
Ashtoreh
Funny, there was an article in the ''La presse'' newspaper this morning about music and training. Here is the article per say, it is in French, sorry about that, but if someone feels like reading it, I can either try to find it (or similar) in English, or translate it my self if I have a minute or 3. Dr. Karageorghis, researcher in Brunel U. in London recommend those songs. Oliver Twist -D'Banj (125 bpm)Gentleman -PSY (126 bpm)Love me -Stooshe feat. Travie McCoy (128 bpm)Let it Roll -Flo Rida (128 bpm)Scream & Shout -will.i.am feat. Britney Spears (130 bpm)Gangnam Style -PSY (132 bpm)Feel This Moment -Pitbull feat. Armada
I think there is something to be said about bpm for people who run or do a lot of cardio. For me it is all about the lyrics or when there is a big build to some awesome riff, solo, or explosive chorus. I like that calm before the storm.
