cyndidee
Yesterday someone added me as a friend. I don't know this person, so I went to check out their profile. They had no information at all, have never made any posts and have no other friends, just me. I'm the friendly sort, so I didn't mind. However, a day later, still no info on the profile, no posts and I'm still their only friend. I'm one of those who go with their gut feelings, so I removed them as a friend. Does this happen a lot around here? (Maybe I need to change what I consider "normal.") Does anyone else find this as odd? (I've been on the internet since the mid-90's when people would telnet to BBS's. So I'm just relying on my experience with people online. I've never regretted going with a gut feeling.) This is Seth
There's very little that someone could gleam from your profile, but if you feel weird about someone, remove them. Or run away screaming STRANGER DANGER. It's most likely a bot that has been programmed to add a friend to try and flush out their profile before they start spamming. Want to PM me the account name if you still remember it? Quote You ever see those guys who look like they totally used to be in shape? I'm working to get back to that... Link to comment
Guest CyborgNinja
If you mean here, on this little backwater forum, I wouldn't worry about it. Facebook or other social networking, yeah that's sketchy. Quote Link to comment
