Hello there

 

Just joined - I'm Matt.

 

I've been overweight pretty much my entire adult life - I'm mid-thirties now.

 

Mostly down to lack of exercise, and too much pizza and beer.

 

I've been reading around health and weight loss for a while now, with a few bursts of enthusiasm on the diet/exercise front leading to some weight loss but nothing that hasn't gone straight back on.

 

I'm just on the edge of overweight/obese, with a fat percentage that hovers arund 28-30% generally.

 

Anyway I've decided to start slowly this time. I've already cleaned up my diet significantly and have started on a weights programme. I'm also doing quite a bit of walking in my daly life, and am hopefully going to start running again soon (though I've got a bit of a bad foot so I can't do too much too soon in case I injure it)

 

So that's me. Hello!

Hey Matt, welcome to the forums!

 

80% of the battle of weight loss is diet. Things like replacing soda with water, setting times you can eat from breakfast to dinner only (8am-6pm kind of thing), will all help :)

 

Doing small changes slowly will eventually lead to success.

Totally random question, but are you French by any chance?

It's not 80% diet, 20% exercise, it's 100% diet, 100% exercise. Give it your all.
