mlnurse
Hi all, I'm a newbie, which I suppose is obvious. I spent the first half of my life being thin no matter what I ate, and of course things changed once I hit 30. I am a nurse and I KNOW that I need to make better choices in regards to diet and exercise, but it is hard, isn't it? It is easy to just go with the flow - eat the same foods, participate in the same activities, etc. After looking at a picture of myself from a trip about a month ago, I just feel disgusted with myself. So, I've spent the past week reviewing this site and have decided that I WILL challenge myself. Starting yesterday, I made a commitment to exercise, I cleaned out my kitchen cabinets, went grocery shopping for healthy foods, and am now actually telling all of you guys that I'm actually doing it! I don't expect the next few weeks to be easy, so any encouragement is appreciated. Thanks! Melissa Quote Link to comment
Nigel
I sure hope last week went well. Like you I think telling someone what I'm doing is going to be the catalyst to get successful. I would love to see what kind of workouts you are doing and what you are eating. Let us know what's working. Quote Link to comment
