thescrawnycaveman
Steve always has some good movies that help with motivation (who doesn't want to wreak havoc on a pull-up bar after gladiator?) but what about you guys? Got any movies that make you want to improve yourselves, make you want to work your muscles to the brink of death? Some of my favorite to get me working:Afro Samurai (season 1 and the movie)The Gladiator (Duh)Old Boy (Best fight scene ever)Ichi the Killer300Battle RoyaleHow about yours? Quote Link to comment
VintageGeek
Old Boy is one of the weirdest movies ever. For me, it's gonna be pretty much any movie with Michelle Rodriguez or Milla Jovovich in it (or both, Resident Evil ftw!). But especially Michelle Rodriguez. I know I'm not alone in saying that I have got the biggest freaking girl-crush on her. Also: The Bourne movies Sucker Punch Terminator 2 (because Sarah Connor is my #1 hero of all time) GI Jane X-Men Charlie's Angels Apocalypto Ghost in the Shell (even though I will never be like her because I am not a cyborg) Hannah Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King (also known as Curse of the Ring) Quote Link to comment
Kain
The Last Samurai is pretty amazing. Quote Time to climb. Link to comment

thescrawnycaveman
Old Boy is one of the weirdest movies ever. It is definitely different, but it is such a masterfully done revenge movie.Kain, I haven't seen the last samurai yet, but I hear it is really good.Centurion, I don't know how I forgot Fight Club... 'Roos
Um, District B 13 is one of my all time get-pumped-and-go-do-something movies. Granted, I could never safely pull off any of the things they do, but it inspires me to Be Awesome. Also, oddly, Doctor Who (though not a film) because if the aliens ever came I should be able to run away... Quote Link to comment
Timmy M
'never back down' easily, 'rocky IV' (just for the montage) a couple of tony jaa's films contain some pretty epic ass-kickery, blade trinity cause `Ryan Reynolds is a beast and 'run fat boy run' makes me think that runnings a good idea Quote Link to comment
Bear Walken
Um' date=' District B 13 is one of my all time get-pumped-and-go-do-something movies. Granted, I could never safely pull off any of the things they do, but it inspires me to Be Awesome.[/quote']Definitely this. A couple hours ago I made a post about some good ways to start on freerunning/parkour. It's actually one of those things that's really easy to get into because all you need is yourself and your willpower (and maybe the right shoes). Takes a lot of practice to get as good as the movies, though. It gets you seriously pumped.Sucker Punch is the ultimate movie to get you pumped up (DVD came out yesterday, had the date marked in my calendar). Even the soundtrack has . Fight Club, Bring it On (used to be a cheerleader, don't judge), Goal: The Dream Begins, Apocalypto, 300, Braveheart, Dirty Harry, The Matrix Revolutions. thescrawnycaveman
I've never heard of District B 13, I've heard of/seen District 9, but I don't think they are the same. Also, Bear Walken, Apocalypto is wicked! Once the main character (Can't remember his name, but I think it's something like little panther) starts fighting back, I can't help but want to piss a bunch of bikers off and have them chase me so I can try that stuff. sumdawgtwigg
Out of recent movies : Rocky Balboa, The Fighter. As far as the fighter goes I think that his brothers (christian bale) is the far more inspirational of the two. imfrikkinawesome
It was always Rocky for me (original) that always makes me want to go train and mash up Apollo Creed's face. Other than that, anything with Pantera in the soundtrack. I hear Pantera and my brain clicks then I have to go do something intense (like camping). Quote Link to comment
