First personal health-related milestone met

Recommended Posts

Starting at the beginning of June I started exercising regularly and paid more attention to my diet. While not totally paleo/primal, I cut out about 90% of the carbs in my diet. I started out at about 105 kg. (231lbs.). The first dungeon I wanted to beat was to get below 100 kg. Woke up this morning, weighed myself & it said I was at 98kg. Unable to believe what I was seeing, I jumped on the scale a few times, re-calibrated the thing and stepped on again. It said 99 (218). I can live with 99.

In years past, over various other attempts at weight loss I was never able to get past the 104 kg mark. I had never really tried to change my diet, and no matter how hard I exercised I couldn't get past 104. It was discouraging. This time, I kicked 104's ass.

I just beat the first boss, and I feel like million bucks.

My next goal is to get below 100 cm (39 inches) on my waist line. On June 14th my measurement was 114cm (44.8 ), and today it's at 107 (42). Wow, until I just now converted the cm to inches, I didn't realize my waist was so big! Turns out Levis has been lying to me... bastards.

I'm really looking forward to the next 6 Week Challenge. I found this site after the first week of the current (last?) one, and have been eager to take part. Because I plan on adding some strength training to my routine, another weight loss goal probably won't be as reachable, but losing more of my gut is.
