Out of my walking cast.

Had ankle reconstruction in early June for two torn tendons, two torn ligaments, and a frayed ligament. Yesterday I finally got out of my walking cast and Im now just in a lace up ankle brace. According to the physical therapist now is when my actual therapy will start to get tougher so Im looking forward to it. Cant wait to run again even though I know thats a ways off.

2 weeks in bracing cast: Check
4 weeks in a cast: Check
4 weeks in a walking cast: Check

Congrats! Best of luck on your recovery!  A coworker of mine recently had a strikingly similar issue - dropped a mirror, which shattered, and absolutely destroyed his ankle by severing tendons and the like.

 

Take the recovery slow and steady, build that strength, and you'll be back on the road, strong as ever, in no time!

Did mine jumping up to get a ball and landing very badly. Im going as slow as they tell me to. Was injusred in Jan so Im pretty much ready to run the minute they tell me Im good.
