Week one - Success!

I was fit; but then life happened, and so I start again. I've been wanting to get back into shape, but always had some excuse for not starting. Or, I'd start, and not continue.

 

I am 53, and really want to be fit and active as I get older. I want to be one of those 70 year old women riding a camel across the Sahara, or hiking up Machu Picchu, or hiking the Great Wall of China. The time to start is now.

 

My goals are:

Exercise 6 days a week.
Run 6 miles in under an hour.
5 pullups.
Bench my weight.
Lean, lithe, strong and active.
Able to try new activities without fear of injury.

 

To help me achieve this, I hired a personal trainer. Our first session was 1 September. I was traveling for work last week, and worked out every day.

 

So proud! I am so going to do this :)
