Denny
I want to give a shout for this free little helper for Windows and Linux. It's a small program that sits in the corner of your computer and pops up reminding you to take a micro-pause or a break at certain intervals. I currently use it to do 5 minutes of exercise every 45 minutes and a small stretcher every 10 minutes.http://www.workrave.org/It's a great addition if you're thinking of doing a 1000 challenge. zielperson
Very, very, very heavily recommended by me. Years ago, I worked myself into a tendonitis on both arms (Project heavy on repetitive data entry). Cue inept doctors not knowing what to do with this (the stories...) and I am now stuck with a chronic pain (which is bearable, but I have to watch what I am doing) WorkRave is a godsend. Install it and adhere to the breaks. I KNOW it gets on your nerves, but do it anyway. The "micro breaks" of 30 seconds every ten minutesare especially annoying, but those are the ones that heal or keep RSI trouble away from your hands. Again, from someone who knows the dark side of RSI, install this, NOW! ::zielperson:: Quote More about me | Battle Log | Current Challenge: June to July Link to comment
