Who can resist this!?

Recommended Posts

I'm not exactly sure how I stumbled across this site but I am here and it kinda struck a chord with me.  I'm a 6'2" 260lb BEAST of man...in my head. :)  The mirror tells me a different story however and I have fought the demons of "excuses" and "tomorrow" for a long time.  Now, at 46 years old, that BEASTLY body is beginning to show signs of its own rebellion with high blood pressure and stiffening knees.  We all know the story, right?

What I really need is Drill Sergeant Billups who I came to know and love\hate during that summer in 1986!  Failing that, ya'll will do.

While I know I could set a goal for a target weight and probably hit it, I'm just not sure that is the best way for me to go about this.  I'm thinking I need to set an activity goal and let the weight\conditioning take care of themselves.  Whether that is running Pinnacle Road at Cumberland Gap National Park or completing the Bluegrass Horsey 100 bike ride or maybe even regaining my former flexibility and agility and toying with some Parkour, I think goals like that better serve my mindset.

About my handle.  I'm not from Indiana.  Many years ago my high school friends and I played DnD before it was KEWL. :)  I had a ranger character that seemed to behave and act on challenges much like the character we would discover a couple years later called Indiana Jones.  My first name is Eddie...and so Indiana Eddie was born.  I saw the RPG Stats in some of your signatures and well...had to use it. :)

Would like to hook up with some folks from Central Kentucky or the larger region for periodic outings if at all possible.
