alexander! Posted November 21, 2013 Report Share Posted November 21, 2013 Hi All! Long time lurker first time poster. First a little background. About a year ago I went from doing random stuff (machines, dumbbells, whatever I saw other people doing) in the gym to going to crossfit multiple times a week. I really liked it, found it addictive like many people do, but about a month ago I realized I wasn't really getting any stronger. I was mainly getting better at laying on the ground after a WOD. I started reading around the internets and I found I really wanted to try the Starting Strength program. I really liked that there is a whole community of people here where I could feel comfortable asking all questions I have about lifting. My current status is that I'm 3 weeks into starting strength and my squat has gone from 135# to 215# today. I can't believe how well that program works! My previous 1 rep max as 205 so being able to do 215 today for 3x5 was pretty awesome. I finally remembered to bring my cell phone into the gym today so I'll be posting a form check soon.
