Godzillarex
Well here goes. I've been lifting weights since I've been 16. In grad school I was lifting 2-3 hours a day, 6 days a week. In pretty good shape. After grad school came work then starting a family. Other responsibilities sucked some time so I bought a gym for home, which I still use. Long story short I've had long breaks in workouts, ballooning up to 240# at 5'11. Felt awful. Managed to get to 213# with diet and some exercise. Still not reaching my goals. Then came a personal tragedy which opened my eyes to many things. One of which was taking time to take care of me. I've been doing suspension training then free weights for the last 5 months. I've decided on strength training using free weights, sandbags, and sled training. Still 213#, need to lose some weight,(a goal), but increasing strength significantly. So I hope to continue with my commitment and reach short term goals of 4oo-500# deadlift, 400-500# squats! and 350-400# bench press. So there ya have it. Any tips, plans, suggestions greatly appreciated. We can always learn something new. Quote Link to comment
