Woot woot - I STARTED!

I got sick with a really awful respiratory infection right around the time my sister showed me this website - not the time to start an exercise routine. I had about a week where my movement was severely limited by my complete inability to breathe normally. But since today, I managed my first out-of-the-house excursion without major coughing upset, my wife helped me start with some small exercises tonight!

 

*lots of range of motion circle exercises (head, shoulders, arms, torso, hips, feet)

*lunge stretches

 

Getting my heartrate up at all still triggers major coughing fits, but at least I was moving! In fact, it felt so good I wanted to celebrate by trying my "I'm awesome" exercise - a kind of squat-kick thing she learned in her dojo while she was studying abroad that I can handily beat her at despite being sedentary and significantly more overweight. I am still better than her at it! But I couldn't really do a full set without coughing too much, so that was more for the celebration than the exercise.

Now for reward sex (which is also more moving than I could accomplish while sick. Yay!)
