I am batteling depression and the doc said Exercise and diet are the best remedies. So I found this site and i am very impressed by what Steven has done here. I will be starting the beginners body weight exercises this week the paleo diet sounds good still not sold on it though. Any how Glad to be here Good luck everybody on your challenges and goals.

Thank you rcarper, I did it this morning I was up at 5 am and did the beginer body weight work out, I learned a couple of things, I learned my legs dont like lunges but I pulled through ( clap, clap) I am going to watch Steven video on this work out to make sure I am doing the squats right and the lunges cause oh boy did they hurt. I do have a question for ya all. If I feel like this beginer body weight work it is a little to easy ( besides the lunges) should i do the advance body weight work out or stick with this for 6 weeks? Cant wait to hear back.

What I'm doing is modifying the parts that are too easy. Like I'm still barely making the push up sets, but I've upped the number of jumping jacks, added a few seconds on the plank, and I'm thinking about adding some torso twists to my lunges today, depending on what I think my body can handle :]

Well Al, let me offer a few thoughts, and if you like them cool, if you don't..no big deal. First I would encourage you to start a log so we can see what you're doing, how its affecting you, and what suggestions we would make. I would say that if the beginner is too easy except for a single exercise, I would move up to the next level, but still incorporate lunges into your workout. I'd probably even put more focus on lunges too since these are the things playing 'catch up'.

As for getting up at 5 am, you sir are my hero...I've been trying to get up at that time, but I think its the fact that I'm telling myself to go to bed at 11 that is hindering me there.
