What are your thoughts on Lumosity?

I made a Lumosity account earlier today just to see what it was like.  I did the first little run though and found it to be, at the very least, entertaining.  However, I am loathe to spend time on entertainment that is being alloted to training my mind and body.  So my questions are thus: Does anybody here use Lumosity? If so, how was your experience with it?  Is it worth the time expenditure or mearly an entertaining way to pass the time.

I just do the 4 games for free. I figured if I started to see  great improvements I could pay for the upgrade. Did it faithfully for a couple of weeks, now I only do it occasionally. I enjoy it, but I am not convinced it has a better brain benefit than reading a book,  or playing a strategy game, or other things I could do for free.

I was thinking similar things.  I have no foreseeable plans of upgrading to the paid service but it is at least working my brain a LITTLE.

My friend put me on her family account and my scores increase on the weeks I am consistent.  I've always done logic puzzles, cryptograms, and the other 990000 types of games found in those books, but this feels different to me.  I like that reaction time matters and I can't lollygag.
