Determined Posted January 5, 2014 Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 Ow, ow, ow, WOOT! Did the Body Weight Workout A. First time I've done any kind of meaningful workout since the middle of August. The screaming you hear tomorrow will be me, trying to make my glutes and quads propel me out of bed. Made one simple discovery that only took me 30 years (kinda like those people that take a lifetime to be an overnight success!). Since learning the pushup in 3rd grade gym class, I have been hesitant because I'm afraid of letting myself fall on my face. So after 30 freaking years, I came to the brilliant conclusion that if I put a small cushion in the face-plant-zone, I eliminate the fear and can concentrate on the task at hand. Thirty years. Not one "expert," personal trainer, or gym teacher ever suggested this. Incredible. If that little discovery isn't a WOOT, I don't know what is. And hey, pass it on! Quote Link to comment

I have never really had that particular fear (falling on the face -- my fear is just failing at pushups), but a little pillow there just might keep me from breaking my nose again. Thanks!
