dude whatever you do please don't give up on yourself! you can do this! if you have a bad day and slip on progress toward a goal, get back on it the next day! tsuchinoko is right about the nutrition info, really good resources and ideas there. also, i'm learning a lot about number of calories vs. what you eat (content of the food, value, etc.). really eye-opening. in addition to walking, maybe add some strength training if you don't do it already. it will make a huge difference.

Keep going. You can turn it around. This is a rebellion!

If you seriously want this then you will achieve this. If being healthy and happy is a good enough reason to stop smoking just force yourself to remember this everytime you even think about it. Also you don't have to find a cheap alternative to ramen for lunch because you can use money from what would have been 2 packs of cancer sticks to have a nice and healthy lunch that doesnt have to be cheap necessarily. Just my 2 cents. GOOD LUCK!
