Stat calculations and class setting

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the right forum-part to post this, so if it isn't feel free to tell me I'm a derp... Anyway, I thought this was the right place.

 

So to come to the point, I don't really know how to calculate the stats for this whole thing. I've been here for two 6-week-challenges and only leveled up last one and the more I looked around at other people's topics (also in the Pub and other places) and I see all these people with stats. Strength, dexterity, stamina, constitution, intelligence, wisdom and charisma... But seriously, what am I supposed to do with them? How do you calculate your stat points?

 

I suppose there should be some kind of base stat rule or something..? Right now I've given myself STR 1 - DEX 1 - STA 1 - CON 1 - INT 2 - WIS 2 - CHA 2 but I don't know if that's alright like that. It all seems a bit low and I see some other people who have points around 5 or even 7 as a lv. 2! So yeah, it got me doubting...

 

Also, are we really limited to the classes that have a guild? Can we choose to be a different class and just stick ourselves in a guild that fits the description best? 

 

So yeah, I think those are my questions for now. They're things that kind of confuse me. Any explanation would be appreciated.
