Got my running mojo back!

Today I had some unexpected time and went out for a run.  There's an area of dirt roads nearby that I wanted to explore, so I went there.  I ran into hill after hill, and partway through I realized that instead of the hills killing me, my body would respond and give me the extra push needed to climb.  When I got near the end of my run I was able and eager to speed out and finish the run in a sprint. 

 

For the past few months I've been able to run, but not very fast, hills would kill me, and it was always hard.  I recently started running a little every day, hoping to get my body back to the point where running was an exercise, not a tribulation. I'm excited that my legs can run again, and now I can work on speed and distance!

"Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog, all of the time."  When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied "The one I feed the most."
