F*ck yeah!

Recommended Posts

I do bodyweight exercises, in the following form: 20 pushups, 20 overhead squats, 75 seconds of plank, 10 lunges per leg, (currently) 10 body weight rows.

My goal was to do 5 sets of these. About three weeks ago, I did 4 sets with 7 rows, plus one where I did 15 pushups, 15 squats, 60 seconds of plank, 10 lunges and 7 rows. I was sure to be hitting my goal the next time, two days later, but due to circumstances (introduction to the university and so on) I didn't exercise that much (went for a run twice, swam and played a few sports, like basketball). When I got back, I started again. Instead of hitting my goal, I fell back a whole set. I completed 3 whole sets with 8 rows and one 15-set. I kept on going and the day before yesterday, I did 4 whole sets.

Today, my aim was to complete 4 whole sets, along with one 15-set. During the two-minute break after the fourth set, I figured I'd go for as many as I could, but at least 15. After I broke 16, I thought f*ck it, and went for the last five. The euphoria was great, so I continued to do a whole set.

I reached my goal two days early! What make me feel even better, is that I came from being someone who thought it difficult to do 3x5 pushups, or a whole body weight row. I feel so awesome right now. On to 5 sets of 100 decline pushups (foot raise of about 20 cm), 100 jump squats, 100 seconds of plank, 10 lunges per leg (I already run and do squats, so I think this is okay) and a lot of (negative) pullups (I'll get to 15 rows first).
