Exceliber
So, three days ago (I did it again yesterday to confirm it wasn't a fluke) I was able to do 5 sets of 3 back barbell squats at my bodyweight of (roughly) 135lbs! I'm super stoked, because when I started lifting (and then took about a year off) two years ago, I could only manage 80lbs doing 3 sets of 5!On top of that (and better in my mind) I SHATTERED my 1-mile record. My best mile is now at 6:22, and I'm sure I can hit 6:00 by the end of the year. So stoked. Quote The only answer to "You can't do that" is "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED." Tom Kenobi
good job man! I'm way behind you in that area. I am currently doing BW squats, and next week am starting doing the path of weighted squats. Reread Steve Kamb's post on proper squats again and realized I'm doing more than enough body weight squats to start working on adding weight ( while watching form of course). I'd been apprehensive about adding weight due to the fact i've never done squats in my life until I started two months ago. Again, great job, keep it up!
