Just wanted to say hi. I'm Zahira. I'm a dork who's married to a super geek! We have two adorable female nerdlings. My husband is a huge D&D guy, and I chose the name Zahira because she is a badass character he helped me create for a few of the dungeons I've played with him. I lost about 50 pounds between April and December of 2011. In the fall of 2012, I started to gain, and my spring of 2013, I'd gained 15 pounds, not all of it, or even most of it, "good" weight. I've gained a bit more, but am still 25 pounds under my starting weight, and 40 pounds under my highest ever (non-pregnant) weight. I'm here to have a bit of fun, stay motivated, and get I to a healthy lifestyle. I've continually worked out, so that's not been a problem, but after calorie restricting for over a year, I went a bit off the rails. I don't think I can go whole hog Paleo as a lifestyle change, so I'm starting by trying to listen to my body's hunger cues better, and eat less processed food and kick the mindless snacking/binge habit I have. I look forward to becoming active here!

Hey, Welcome aboard Zahira. Going whole hog Paleo is a big change. Just getting rid of grains is huge, so starting small is the way to go and processed foods going away is one of the best choices you can make. Good luck on your first challenge- those look some good goals in your signature.

Welcome to the party.  You'll be surprised how much just committing to making your own meals instead of eating out will help
