deadliftnerd
I was overweight most of my adolescent wife. I weighed as much as 240lbs. I was called fat for as long as I could remember. I'm a computer geek that fell in love with Warcraft 2 then later got into magic the gathering. I've met some of my best friends playing mtg. I was pretty deep into mtg and computers. I built so many computers and loved customizing everything. I guess it sort of like building a deck in magic the gathering. I tried to mod everything. My ps1, ps2, xbox, xbox 360 etc.. I spray painted my computer case. I build and sold computers to friends. I was the first person in my school that hard a cd burner. It was a scsi too. After a family tragedy, I found myself as an obese high school junior. I played nothing but magic the gathering and starcraft. I ate burger king and jack in the box. During the summer before my senior year, I was determined that I was going to make change. I got my aunt to sign me up 24 hour fitness. When it came time to choose electives, I chose 6th period Football. I signed up for hell week. Imagine, an over weight kid that barely did nothing but play magic the gathering and real time strategy games was going to embark a journey where there was no turning back. Hell week broke me in half. It destroyed me further when I found out hell week was 2 weeks. Did I mention I did a magic show? I was a magician. I was pretty good with card manipulation.I'd fill in more of the details...but I didn't want to make this post too long..Fast forward 16 years later... I'm a personal trainer, coaching others to get and stay in shape. Helping with nutrition and exercise. I'm passionate about the deadlift and have gotten into power lifting recently. I'm a deadlift nerd. I love exercise and nutrition science. I'm all about helping the Nerd Fitness Rebellion. I love helping people to that want help, especially from this community. 1 Quote Magic the gathering, Starcraft (use to obsessively play)Minecraft (I don't play but just with my 6 year old son)Powerlifter, 1st meet 429lbs Squat, 297lbs bench, 545lbs deadlift Personal Trainer since 2001http://Youtube.com/RyanSaplanPThttp://instagram.com/ryansaplanhttp://twitter.com/ryansaplan Link to comment
