Hrunter
Yesterday's workout is leaving my muscles sore. (I love this feeling! XD) So. I understand that today (or for some period of time between exercising) I should be letting my muscles recover. The question is... What does one -do- on a recovery day/time/thing ? For me, right now, its a generalized thing. I can't really exercise any particular part without (likely) over doing it/hurting myself. So that's off the list. I know I should be eating to allow my muscles to recover. Still sticking with the protein. What else, though? I mean, reading up on things I could do next, learning more about what to eat, I'm working on those. Am I missing anything? Or is this one of those "Too much free time on my hands" things? On a more casual note, what do you fellow rebels like to do on recovery days? Quote Link to comment
Guest Carjack
Sometimes light activity between days reduces soreness. But usually, you stop getting sore when you're used to the activity. I like to sleep. Quote Link to comment
catspaw
Go for a long, leisurely walk. The bloodflow will help your muscles recover. Walk somewhere fun, like a place to grab a delicious healthy snack, and listen to podcasts or audiobooks. Maybe nap in the sun to soak up some vitamin D.
