dustinwh
I haven't really done any kind of barbell training since high school when I worked with a trainer (he had me do mostly machines and cable stuff anyway). I am trying to figure out what kind of goals I need to set for the fundamental lifts: bench, push press, squat, deadlift etc. Not necessarily goals for the next few weeks, but goals to keep pushing toward. A guy I know said "he read somewhere that 1.5 times your bodyweight for bench, 2x bodyweight for squat, and more for deadlift." For all of you that have been lifting heavy longer than me, is that a good baseline to work towards? Or do you have better suggestions? Quote Allons-y!
