I consider myself a "Butterfly in Training". I stumbled across Nerd Fitness in August and have been hooked ever since. I am 30 and living in the DC metro area. I was athletic in both high school and college and even participated in a few triathlons since moving to VA.

I was injured in the spring of 2010 and didn't pursue surgery. I'm currently living with 2 herniated disks (L5, S1) and no consistent feeling in my left leg. I am a 6'0" female hoping to lose 50+ pounds and gain a strong core to support my back. I'm on the fence as to which guide to follow. Should I be focusing on fitness or strength?
