Salty
So i used to have a full body routine that I would perform 3-4 times a week and now i work out every single day with a push/core/pull/legs bodyweight split. The first leg day i ever did was fantastic, I felt the burn for days after that and my legs hurt so much (in a good way). I tried that workout again but it barely got my heart rate up and I couldn't feel a burn at all. Now I'm doing tons of sets of pistols, shrimp squats, extremly slow jump squats but i can never replicate the feeling of my first leg day 😥. PS: i dont have gym access for now so only bodyweight suggestions please. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
El Exorcisto
You adapted to it. Soreness doesn't mean anything besides dealing with a new stimulus and having to adapt to it. As for how to amp up legs with bodyweight, you've got me. JPrev
Yup, burn means nothing. Try tuck squats: http://strengthunbound.com/tutorial-tuck-squat/ Quote Link to comment
Salty
Thanks guys but is there a harder one?Edit: i say this because I can do more then ten on each leg and I try to find an movement i can do only a couple reps with aka the heavy singles of bodyweight training. Quote Link to comment
JPrev
Try a new method of performing the reps themselves, to increase the effective load even without changing the form: http://strengthunbound.com/rest-pause-training-guide/ Or peruse this list of other leg exercises, which can be performed via body weight or with dumbbells: http://strengthunbound.com/comprehensive-list-of-leg-exercises/ Quote Link to comment
