Help! I need a new goal!

Recommended Posts

So you challenge goals were to do a pull up, and run a mile. And you did both of those?

But you want something farther reaching than that?

Sooo how about signing up for a race. This will push you to keep improving on your running.

If you sign up for an obstacle race, then if will push you to keep getting stronger to move your bodyweight.

I am still in disbelieve, that I can indeed pull my self up with my arms. That I randomly and frequently perform pull ups at work. I think, no I know people think I am weird.

When I first got pullups, I started doing them at work every time I walked past some overhead shelving that I knew would support me. My coworkers definitely thought I was nuts.

Allons-y!

If you can't fix it with squats or fish oil you're probably going to die.

Take your pick, all these races are in or near Mass. All with enough time to train up for them.

I'll be running in the upcoming Run For Your Lives race.

Question: Did you do a dead-hang pull-up?

eg: were your arms completley relaxed so that you hung down from the bar? If not, then try doing it this way. It's freakin tough, but really satisfying when you finally get there!

The "pull up bar" here at work is a little lower than the ones at the gym. I can perform one standing start here. The one at the gym is higher and is a true dead hang.
