R-0-Dbl-L-O
I met my challenge goals and I can notice my focus slipping. I am asking the community for some ideas to improve. My goals were to perform a pull up and to run a mile. I guess I should focus on getting better on these. Maybe something more defined, farther reaching. What do you think? Quote Link to comment
Benching Zombies
So you challenge goals were to do a pull up, and run a mile. And you did both of those? But you want something farther reaching than that? Sooo how about signing up for a race. This will push you to keep improving on your running. If you sign up for an obstacle race, then if will push you to keep getting stronger to move your bodyweight. Quote Battle For Hogwarts Challenge Link to comment

Guest Carjack
Do pull ups throughout the day every day until you hit 20. Quote Link to comment
R-0-Dbl-L-O
I am still in disbelieve, that I can indeed pull my self up with my arms. That I randomly and frequently perform pull ups at work. I think, no I know people think I am weird. Quote Link to comment

I think, no I know people think I am weird. When I first got pullups, I started doing them at work every time I walked past some overhead shelving that I knew would support me. My coworkers definitely thought I was nuts. Quote Allons-y! DWH If you can't fix it with squats or fish oil you're probably going to die. blog || twitter Link to comment
bigm141414
Pushups? Or may a I recommend a decent squat goal to replace your other fitness completions. Quote "Pull the bar like you're ripping the head off a god-damned lion" - Donny Shankle Link to comment
BarefootDawsy
Question: Did you do a dead-hang pull-up? eg: were your arms completley relaxed so that you hung down from the bar? If not, then try doing it this way. It's freakin tough, but really satisfying when you finally get there! Quote BAREFOOT DAWSY Scout Commander (ret.) Link to comment
Benching Zombies
Take your pick, all these races are in or near Mass. All with enough time to train up for them.I'll be running in the upcoming Run For Your Lives race.http://www.spartanrace.com/http://runforyourlives.com/http://toughmudder.com/events/ (In VT not Mass)http://www.metrodash.com/locations/http://warriordash.com/locations.php (In NY not Mass) Quote Battle For Hogwarts Challenge Link to comment

I can perform one standing start here. The one at the gym is higher and is a true dead hang. Quote Link to comment

I was thinking about a deadlift/squat centric goal in mind. My biggest concern is form. I am still recovering from a knee injury I never really fixed. Quote Link to comment
R-0-Dbl-L-O
Turns out a weight loss challenge has appeared in my office. I accepted immediately. Time to bulk up for the weigh in on Friday! Quote Link to comment
