I've started the book at least 3 times and gotten a little bit further into the story every time, but it's like being carried around in a burlap sack -- You try to enlarge the hole to see where you're going, but at the same time you're being jounced up and down and keep losing your bearings.In frustration, I made Ulysses (both the Homeric and the Joyce versions) the subplot of a NaNoWriMo story I've been writing. The hero is on a quest through the U.S. Midwest and took the book along to read at night in hotel rooms -- And she doesn't get it, either. 1 Quote Astreja K. I (jokingly) suspect that those who claim they don't have fallen victim to an emperor's new clothes type of situation.
