I've become hooked on it, thanks in no small part to a post that Steve wrote on the Japanese version some time back. Just watched the most recent competition: USA vs the World. Harika Posted October 13, 2014 Report Share Posted October 13, 2014 I prefer the Japanese version that was/is on G4. American shows seem to focus on wanting people to fail, and this show is not much different. (Consider singing shows - when good singers get real screen time during the try-outs it is because by appearance end up surprising us.) The Japanese show had people that would try every year and since the expectation is that the course was unbeatable, success was based on dedication, returning to compete, or just showing up to try.
