Kusanagi Posted October 5, 2014 Report Share Posted October 5, 2014 Hello fellow Rebels!My name is Matt, and I live in Rochester, NY. I discovered Nerd Fitness about five weeks ago. I had been searching for something to help fuel my weight loss motivation, and this community attracted me immediately!I am 24 years old and have been overweight since 2005 when I entered high school. I have always been a nerd at heart, and have enjoyed video games, anime and Star Wars since I was little.Ever since I started high school as a shy, overweight kid, my self esteem and motivation has taken a serious hit. At my heaviest, about 5 years ago, I weighed close to 260 pounds. At 5'10'' this was turning into a serious mental and physical health issue. I have had some success with diet and exercise in the past, but I felt it was time to really buckle down and level up my life.I'm very excited to follow this community, and I've lost 9 pounds since discovering it in late August. I've cut back on my portions, took up running, and began doing the beginner body weight workout 3 times a week. Already I feel some stresses lift away and my outlook improve!Thank you for giving me this opportunity and I look forward to gaining some serious experience!~Matt 1 Quote Link to comment
