Solstice
I was doing pretty good over the summer. i went from 230-216. i'd never broken 218lb before that. then school hit, and stress was through the roof. also, my workout buddy was gone, and i felt lost. i knew what i had to do, what i wanted to do, but i couldnt find the motivation or energy to get up and do it. before i knew it i was eating orange chicken everyday and could no longer fit into my favorite suit vest. i was suddenly 240lbs and it hurt. it made me angry and sad, which pushed me to work out. then it hit me....i worked out over summer because i enjoyed it. i was no longer a chore. it was play, i was teaching myself parkour, trying to be the best Black Ezio i could be. before that i workout out in anger. to try to best others instead of trying to best myself. i wanna get that spark of fun back. to revel in the challenge that i present myself and keep at it until i meet it. ive been doing well for the past week (thanksgiving break) and ive learned to separate everything into its own category which has minimized the way i feel the stress completely. its no longer, "i have 4 assignments due...crap" its, "i have 1 assignment for each class. thats not bad". im back...im ready...Solstice has returned. feels good to be home... Make it fun, make it exciting, challenge yourself to be a better self today than you were yesterday.
