I have almost never touched my chest on a rep, stopping about 1-1 1/2" above my chest. it still appears to work, and seems to prevent shoulder strain. any thoughts? spezzy Posted December 25, 2014 Report Share Posted December 25, 2014 have you checked the rest of your form to make sure that's solid? technical form with full range of motion is touching your shirt. shoulder strain could be caused by issues with mobility or bad form elsewhere.
