This song is abso-fucking-lutely ahh-mazing. hblyne
I love a bit of Pink and a few random pop hits mixed in with rock and metal! I have about a dozen Within Temptation tracks on my gym playlist. Rob Zombie gets me really pumped up, as does VNV Nation. I have a few David Guetta tracks, and Imagine Dragons on there too. 3 Quote Battle Log - Record from the Front Lines http://hblyne.com Link to comment
Oramac
Within Temptation Just found them a few days ago. Definitely like their sound! I'll have to find lyrics to see what they're about, but I'm liking them so far! 1 Quote "Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back." - Captain Malcolm Reynolds Current Challenge Also, I Agree With Tank™ Link to comment
hblyne
They're my favourite band. I think my favourite album is still The Heart of Everything, mainly because of some really great memories from when it was newly released. 1 Quote Battle Log - Record from the Front Lines http://hblyne.com Link to comment
iRyan2015
My library is FULL of Within Temptation. What Have You Done? was the song that got me addicted like a disease to them. Them and Kamelot are my absolute 2 favorite bands,To add to the list: Fireflight- Stronger Than You ThinkPowerman 5000- When World's Collide.Sabaton- Resist and Bite. (These guys seriously remind me a Gerard Butler in 300 singing to heavy metal. PLEASE tell me I am wrong because I CANNOT get rid of that mindset! It makes the band just epic no matter what lol)Fireflight-Stronger Than You Think Sabaton- Resist And Bitehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VNL8T4tbnM 1 Quote My success story thus far- http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/57879-new-to-the-mushroom-kingdom/ [i LOVE HOW THE URL IN MY SIGNATURE CUTS OFF AND SAYS "SHROOM KINGDOM"]Battle log- http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/57995-iryans-foot-clan-training/ My First 6-week Challenge: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/58691-iryans-first-challenge/ Link to comment
Oramac
Good songs! Sabaton does kinda sound like a 300-esque band. Fireflight-Stronger Than You Think Fun fact: Fireflight is a Christian band. They're also some fantastic gym music. I like "Unbreakable" myself. EmbraceTheBurn
I'm a sucker for anything arena rock-y/epic. The most recent stuff by Fallout Boy (My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark, Centuries), Kick Start My Heart by Motley Crue, Queen's more uptempo stuff. Basically, I want the BPM high. Thats it really. Anything from Katy Perry to Children of Bodom. I like to pretend I'm competing for some major thing, live on television and the whole bit. It gets me through. 1 Quote Link to comment
iRyan2015
Oh I completely forgot about Motley Crue!!! Yeah you're right, Kick Start My Heart certainly is an adrenaline song. I have been looking for more of those rapid fire songs like those myself. Good songs! Sabaton does kinda sound like a 300-esque band. Fun fact: Fireflight is a Christian band. They're also some fantastic gym music. I like "Unbreakable" myself. I did not know they were, though I was starting to think that they were certainly a softer rock band. There are many Christian bands that I've run into lately that sound so amazing. The clean lyrics hook me in. Not a fan of super foul lyrics. 1 Quote My success story thus far- http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/57879-new-to-the-mushroom-kingdom/ [i LOVE HOW THE URL IN MY SIGNATURE CUTS OFF AND SAYS "SHROOM KINGDOM"]Battle log- http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/57995-iryans-foot-clan-training/ My First 6-week Challenge: http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/58691-iryans-first-challenge/ Link to comment
Balthazar
oddly the music I like is completely the other way to the fired up power anthems. Like Oramac whilst I lift I don't listen to anything, for me I like it quiet but I do like to listen to things before I lift and I like to listen to something a lot slower, I find fast songs don't get me in the right head space to do big, slow lifts so something more like hozier - take me to church. I appreciate he doesn't mean the iron church when he's singing it but that's what I picture in my head 1 Quote Link to comment
GingerTerror
I normally listen to a lot of rock/metal. Lately, I've actually found fantasy playlists to be pretty inspiring. I listen to em when I walk and run, and it kind of makes me feel like I'm traveling across Skyrim If you're interested, here's a link to my Spotify playlist: Gaming/Fantasy There's some symphonic metal mixed in there too. 1 Quote Link to comment
Nubbins McGee
The Black Flag station on Pandora gets heavily used by me at the gym. Sometimes though, I listen to total crap contemporary pop during long cardio sessions. 1 Quote Did I offer advice in my post? MagicAnatomist
My favorite cardio album is Energy by Operation Ivy. Sometimes I will also run to Flogging Molly or Rancid. Weight training... Pretty much the same especially since I am still doing body weight circuits only. I transition to begin powerlifting next week with a buddy of mine back at school, so I will probably expand my playlist then. 2 Quote Level 0, Human Druid[sTR: 0 | DEX: 0 | STA: 0 | CON: 0 | WIS: 0 | CHA: 0 ]"'Impossible' is not a scientific term." - Vanna Bonta Link to comment
DaygloNirvana
I find a lot of heavy rock and industrial to be just the right tempo for me. My list currently includes Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Static-X, and Powerman5000. 5 Quote “No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may.
