mizvalentine
I've recently started getting sore in the backs of my legs, right above my ankles after deadlifting and after doing standing DB calf raises. I think this is approximately where the Achilles tendon is. Its not a pain I've ever felt before...its not debilitating, but I'm wondering if that's normal or if its a warning sign of something more serious? If its normal, can you suggest any stretches or strengthening exercises to assuage the pain? Or just do more deadlifts? Quote Link to comment
Loren Wade
Definitely sounds normal. Your muscle is sore because it's being worked out. Just stretch it, rest it for a day or two, and maybe use a foam roller. And yes, moar dead lifts. Quote lobro's a druid? twitter | fb Link to comment
mizvalentine
Thanks much! It was just so weirdly localized I wasn't sure. More deadlifts it is! Quote Link to comment
Loren Wade
Haha. I've been doing yard work recently... I've had a few muscles get sore that I haven't felt during a workout before. Quote lobro's a druid? twitter | fb Link to comment
