I've been actively working towards my goal of being healthier since February of this year, but have just recently become serious enough to see real results. I have an amazing trainer and go to the best gym in Sacramento. I'll be starting power lifting here very soon (thanks for the extra motivation Staci!), and have been looking for some extra encouragement. A friend turned me on to Nerd Fitness, and I'm in LOVE! I can't believe I didn't know about this sooner! I'm heading in to the gym this afternoon with the intention of getting some weights on the books. I know I can bench 175lbs, but I don't know if I can do a full 5x5 at that weight. I just did an event a few weekends ago where I did 3x10 squat clean and jerks at 95lbs (with running and 50lb sled pulls in between). My last deadlift was over 200, but I can't remember what it was exactly. Eegad, I guess it's better to go get actual numbers than guess! More coming soon! Thanks for the encouragement.
