oystergirl
Hi everyone! Just thought I would introduce myself. I have been cruising the site and really enjoy a lot of what Steve is saying. I had Lymes disease about 18 years ago and that left me with a lot of physical problems and weight issues that I resolved once and never thought I would have to resolve again...never say never...Having to focus on other things in my life/family has put be back to square one...forgot to take care of myself...but getting back on track with that.I have eaten every possible way in an effort to gain health. I dont do it anymore, but I blogged about it for a long time at www.amoderatelife.com if you want to see more of where I am coming from. Right now I eat mostly "archevore" aka Kurt Harris idea of Paleo 2.0. I am lucky enough to get raw dairy every week.My main issue is that I get involved in fitness, do really well but go all out and then I hurt myself--Lymes means it takes you 5 times the amount of time to get over an injury and you are really side lined. I need to take it slow and the beginner's body weight looks good. I was doing Zuzana Light's tabatas for a while, then switched to PX90 and literally tore my shoulder and elbow--that was in june--ready to start again--SLOW...Looking forward to interacting with you all on the site! ebm1224
welcome to the forums. yes, take time to heal and learn ways to keep active without going overboard. that way, when you're fully healed up you'll be able to jump back in with less shock. Quote Link to comment
