Going a bit awry

I still exist! I've been lazy and not recording things, though I've still been going to the gym. My schedule has boiled down to work -> FSAE -> Gym -> Sleep for the last few weeks, and it's a crap schedule. The morning exercise thing just didn't work, but I know for a fact that my lifts suffer when they're late at night. Oh well!

Hate myself day (Squat day)

Squats

Tons of dizziness and head rushes. 20 rep programs make me dizzy and miserable, but I figure it's a good way to keep it at a low weight with good form and still get stronger. Depth was good, form was good. I just had to lay on the floor for a few minutes to make the dizziness and nausea go away.

I think if nothing else you should log your FSAE progress :P

Definitely still kicking it, can't stop!

As far as FSAE, I actually took a week off work on no notice to accompany our Formula Hybrid to their competition and help them out, we ended up placing third and being one of the only teams to make it through tech inspection and run in endurance. This was pretty surprising considering the entire Hybrid team is made up of about 8 people from 2 senior design groups with no experience. Whole lot of breaking things, then Frankensteining it back together, they were damn impressive. I can't take any credit, I was just another set of hands to help out.

Deadlift Day

Grip was failing on 405, barely was able to lockout without dropping it. Going to have to think about including grip work with grippers or farmer walks.

Woke up at 7 am and couldn't go back to sleep, so I went to the gym. Was surprisingly nice going to the gym in the morning, and I wasn't tired at all. I liked it. Not sure if I could do this regularly, but I feel like I do lift better in the morning or early afternoon.

Also won't be updating regularly because I'm lazy, but they'll come in every once in a while. Been missing days due to long nights at the shop, sort of crappy, but would rather work on race car than go to the gym.

What day is it? Where am I? Oh, squat day.

Haven't done a heavy set of squats in a long while, over a month. It was unfamiliar, and I lost a fair bit of strength methinks.

Was going to do 3x20@225 after, but I would have passed out and dropped something on my head.

Weak day, wasn't that great, but I can't complain considering I skipped the gym 2+ weeks, and I haven't done legs in forever.

As far as FSAE goes, I've done nothing but be down at the shop. My schedule has lost the gym portion and become: 1. Work 2. Shop 3. Sleep, then it repeats. Every day. Except weekends, where it's just: 1. Shop 2. Shop 3. Shop. No sleep needed. Competition is next week, and I'll actually put up some pictures during/after that. That, or just link to the facebook albums that I'll be making. Today was a rare day, where I took a break to breathe and go to the gym.

Car's done! And we're back. And I can start working out again, rather than eating fast food and scrambling to build a car.

I did go to the gym, but it was depressing, so I'm not going to talk about it. (Deadlifted 335x5, which felt immensely hard. Stopped there and planning on working back up)

I haven't done shoulders in so long, I'm amazed I was able to do that.

Side Lateral Raises

Should have started with 20, 25 is a bit too much, but I was too stubborn to put it down.

Next week, I'm starting cardio. I've said it a million times, but now I have some motivation to do it: My brother is starting to get abs. And you know what, screw him! I want abs too! So I'm going to try to control my diet a bit better, go back to a paleo diet and do some cardio. We'll see how this turns out. I don't really have anything against my brother getting into better shape, but sibling rivalry can't be helped.
