engineman312
hey rebels,Danny here, newly registered to the boards, but i've been reading and following NF for a few months now, and i've really incorporated a lot of the lifestyle and exercise into my daily routine.in july i decided i wanted to start exercising more and lose more weight. i started counting calories using an app called myfitnesspal, and i dusted off my old mountain bike (i didn't like running). i really wasn't taking things too seriously. but then on august 8th i came home from vacation, and i weighed 251 pounds. that just did it for me. i knew i had to start taking things more seriously. so i really started counting calories, changing my eating habits, and working out a lot.i think i finally started stepping up the intensity when i read his "is it really worth it?" article, http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/08/31/is-it-really-worth-it/i now weigh 222 lbs (i'm 6'3") can run a 10:15 minute mile for a steady 5 mile length, and i'm improving on that. when it was warmer i regularly biked about 60 miles a week, and i've recently started strength training, bith at home just using my body weight, and at the gym. i'm registered for a mud run on nov 19, a thanksgiving 5k, and a sprint triathlon in june 2012.
