Knightwatch
435 deadlift tonight. Either a 20 or 25 pound PR. Self-directed rage is a helluva thing. Oh, so is the Greyskull LP strength program too, I guess. Knightwatch
What's the BW multiple?Just shy of 2xBW. I think, haven't weighed in for a while.Which is less good. But, I have no reason to think that my bw isn't headed downward and strengh upwards. Hoping for 500 at 200bw within the year! ETFnerd
Well that beats my PR of 275 from a 4 years ago... Awesome lift(s). Congrats on your progression, and watch out for injuries as you pile on the weight. How are you celebrating this? wildross
Congrats!! I've gotta keep pushing to stay ahead of you on the bench. I need an afterburner to catch you on the deadlifts.... Knightwatch
Thanks guys! How are you celebrating this? Baconocolypse? I've gotta keep pushing to stay ahead of you on the bench. I need an afterburner to catch you on the deadlifts.... Pft, you're cruising right along. Your dead will be up there any time now, and I've got my work cut out for me if I'm ever catching your bench! Knightwatch
Not exactly crushage, but I strict pressed 150 x 9. Total volume would be 1350, which ties my old "volume PR", 135 x 10. But I think 150 x 9 is way harder, so I'm calling it a PR. MMyers
That's awesome. That's over a half ton in total volume moved overhead in one set.#GuyWhoStatesTheObviousInAmazement Just curious, is the last set for reps part of 5/3/1 that you added into Greyskull, or is that just part of Greyskull? Nope, it's Greyskull. The thing I like about it is that it is, for me at least, a near perfect Starting Strength and 531 hybrid. Sets are straight across, same load for all sets. Rep scheme is 5-5-max (for press, squat, and bench. Deads are warmups sets-max).Progression is straight linear, not jumping like 531, but slower progressions than Starting Strength. Squatting twice a week. SS was too much squatting for me, 531 wasn't enough. There's obviously no perfect program. But for, where I'm at right now, GSLP is hitting the exact right notes. MMyers
That's cool, if I ever lift seriously that sounds like something I should check out then. And it's obviously working. Quote Link to comment
Knightwatch
152.5 for nine, which is definitely a volume PR. Woot.
