nimbus
Hey guys,I've been fairly inactive on the forum, but I'd like this to change, and this post of the first step in doing so.Well, basically I just got back after a week visiting my parents. There's a really good futurama clip that I thought was very relevant to post but I just can't find it. If anyone is familiar with the episode when the nibblonians are trapped by mom to farm dark matter and Fry and the gang find them and after some dialogue one of them says "there's nothing to do but eat and poop, it's like visiting your parents!" That was exactly it. I exercised the first day I was there, but then it started raining pretty heavily for the rest of the week and so I didn't after that. Mum also bought a cheesecake, and they just generally have a lot more snacks laying around than I do at my place. On top of that my dad is an awesome cook, and so I helped myself to more servings at meal times than I should have. I've already been to they gym today - all cardio. But I wanted to post something because the rebellion has always been at the back of my mind while I've been trying to lose weight and put on a bit of muscle. You guys were so nice to me when I posted my introduction thread and this is such a valuable resource that I think I'd be missing out if I didn't get involved with it. I'm a little embarrassed to confess my indulgences above, but I think this was the right place to post them. I'm ready to respawn Thanks guys. Quote Link to comment
Elastigirl
It is so easy to get back into old habits around family. Especially if a lot of your family good memories were centered on food. Here's to making new better habits, and maybe even leading your family by your example Quote Wisdom 22.5 Dexterity 13 Charisma 15 Strength 21 Constitution-13 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind' Luke 10; 27 Link to comment
Noname123
Bust out those bodyweight workouts! Before bed take 30 mins to yourself and just demolish any of the workouts on the resources page. If your parents are inclined to trying physical activity you can teach them a few things or even make it a contest! (Who can do the most squats before they just sit on their butt and can't get up!?)
