Peachy Posted June 4, 2015 Report Share Posted June 4, 2015 Hi everyone, I'm using my twenty second berserker mode to de-lurk here. I'm hoping to participate in the upcoming six-week challenge. My backstory: in school I was active in all kinds of things. But since leaving, and moving to a new state, I found myself sitting at home at night, sucked into the internet. I lost the fitness I had built up. So over the next weeks I'll be trying to get back into shape; recover some lost skills; and maybe even emerge from the underdark occasionally i.e. interact socially. Right now I am lifting, running, and trying to get my kicks back (I was a decent martial artist before I began the era of too much sitting). I'm also a fencer, and part of my challenge will be looking for a school to attend, whether that's bare-handed or involves a weapon. I've been eyeing some of the HEMA schools here in Portland; another chance to use my twenty seconds. Cheers!
