I've been absent for a while now. Surgery, recovery, and finally an overseas holiday all kind of slowed my posts down to basically nothing.

But even when I was around before that, I had a bad habit of fading towards the end of every challenge I took part in. The only time that's been different is during side quests and pvp's.

Anyway, after holidaying in Scotland and meeting nerd fitness members in real life for the first time, I finally feel reinvigorated to refind my place in this community.

The scary part is realizing just how far back I've slipped. Completing a SL 5x5 workout at just half my previous working weight basically crippled me for a week. And my weight has shot back up 10kg during my sojourn overseas.

Staring back up the mountain from so near the bottom again is really quite intimidating.

Wait, other NF'ers exist in real life? I'd heard those legends but never really believed they were true.

It can be discouraging to start over lower than you remember yourself, but you will gain back what you have lost, and faster than it took you to get there the first time, then you will exceed where you were. Just stick with it, you can do this.
